The Party of the Century
The Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, CA, is an iconic staple in sports and entertainment. Home to the UCLA Bruins, this national landmark celebrated its centennial birthday in the summer of 2022. Partnering with the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation, BDI Events was the official producer of the Rose Bowl Stadium’s 100th birthday gala.
Dubbed The Party of the Century, the gala was the first of its kind for the Foundation. This grand and truly unique event was 1920s-themed and hosted over 1,200 guests on the Rose Bowl Stadium field.
Starting in January 2022, BDI orchestrated the event’s entire game plan with a focus on guests experiencing the stadium’s greatness, which, in turn, raised over $2 million for the Foundation.
This incredible birthday gala featured:
Pre-event reception underneath the Rose Bowl Marquee in the Court of Champions
VIP speakeasy created in one of the locker rooms
A sit-down dinner on the field that featured:
A delicious meal by Levy Catering and enhanced by local vendors
A 5-plane flyover by the Tiger Squadron
The Mayor of Pasadena as a guest speaker
ESPN college football reporter Holly Rowe as the event host
Vince Young appearance and football toss fundraiser, where he signed 10 footballs and threw them to audience members
Live auction that raised more than $130,000
Silent auction that raised more than $375,000
Paddle raise auction raising nearly $600,000
Fireworks display
A tribute to Frank Sinatra with music by Matt Mauser and the Pete Jacobs Big Band
Local food trucks for guests to enjoy upon departure
